Charinga Merino Stud was established on Neil McLennan's Banavie Stud in 1991. Prior to registration of the Charinga Stud, all flock sheep were bred from Banavie.

The Poll Merino Stud was registered in 1996 with 30 ewes from Merna Poll Merino Stud and 300 ewes from Gum Hill Poll Merino Stud.

  • Semen from Charinga’s top sires is available and has been sold to stud and commercial breeders in: W.A.,  N.S.W., S.A., QLD, VIC, TAS, New Zealand and Argentina
